Our History

SRH Campus Hamburg

Our history for your future

In 2019, the universities "SRH Hochschule Berlin" and its campus in Dresden ("SRH Hotel-Akademie Dresden") merged with "SRH Hochschule der populären Künste (hdpk)" and "design akademie berlin – SRH Hochschule für Kommunikation und Design". Since then, they all form SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences. One year later, SRH Campus Hamburg was opened, thus establishing the university in the north of Germany as well.

Today, SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences is divided into six schools located in Berlin, Dresden, and Hamburg. The schools differ in their professional profiles and create synergies through common academic and administrative structures, resources, and values under the umbrella brand of SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences. Our students in particular benefit from the close cooperation of the schools.

We welcomed the first students at SRH Campus Hamburg in the winter semester 2020/21– albeit primarily in online lectures due to the Corona pandemic. With a new homepage and an expanded range of courses, our campus really took off in 2021.
