The highlights of the programme are the modules on Software Engineering for the Media Industry:
- Media Production
- Image Processing and Computer Vision
- Audio and Video Processing and Streaming Technologies
In the Media Production module you deal with production processes and technologies in the media industry (including film and radio production, but also podcasts and viral content). Furthermore, you learn about psychological and legal aspects of media production.
In the Image Processing and Computer Vision module you acquire in-depth skills in image processing and machine vision (e.g. object recognition, face recognition). You also extend your knowledge about artificial intelligence.
In the module Audio and Video Processing and Streaming Technologies you develop audio and video sequences which you publish on portals and platforms (e.g. websites) using modern streaming technologies. Thus, you become an expert in streaming and compression technologies.
After completing your studies, are able to plan and implement complex software development projects and know about technical, economic, legal and ethical aspects of such projects. You will be familiar with the main concepts, methods and techniques of software development, the most important programming and markup languages as well as programming guidelines and tools.
