In the module Introduction to Banking and Financial Industry - Regulations you deal with the structure of the financial industry and its national and international standards that are important for software development. You also deal with FinTechs, the youngest players in the industry, and business processes. You also know how to design a software development process in the regulated financial industry.
In the IT Security module you acquire in-depth skills to develop and introduce secure IT systems and software in businesses. You are proficient in current methods and technologies of key management, authentification and access control and know about their strengths and weaknesses. You analyse and improve the security of systems and applications in projects, simulate attacks on systems through targeted threat modelling and develop solutions to defend against attacks.
In the Reliable Enterprise Systems module, you develop fail-safe, scalable software systems and audit-proof database systems based on the specific requirements of the financial sector. You also deal with software evaluation and tests, in particular with test levels, test stages and different test types.
After completing your studies, are able to plan and implement complex software development projects and know about technical, economic, legal and ethical aspects of such projects. You will be familiar with the main concepts, methods and techniques of software development, the most important programming and markup languages as well as programming guidelines and tools.
