Get your Master’s degree in Computer Science

You already have experience in software development and programming and want to build on it? Then our Master’s degree programme Computer Science in Hamburg is just right for you. While you enhance your computer science education, you'll acquire expertise in the field of big data and artificial intelligence.

You'll learn about the latest big data technologies and how to implement AI and machine learning tools in companies and business environments. In addition to technological expertise, this practice-oriented degree programme will help you expand your analytical, business and soft skills in various projects and internships. Depending on your previous knowledge, you can choose between two types of study programmes:

  • Study in two years: Choose the 4-semester programme (Master’s degree with 120 ECTS) if you have a 3-year Bachelor’s degree (worth 180 ECTS). In this programme you'll study for three semesters, complete an internship during the third semester and proceed to writing your Master’s thesis.
  • Fast Track: Choose the 3-semester programme (Fast Track, Master’s degree with 90 ECTS) if you have a 3.5-year Bachelor’s degree (worth 210 ECTS). You'll study for three semesters and procede to writing your Master’s thesis.

Our requirements

Please provide us with the following

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar area of studies
  • Proof of English language proficiency

The following examinations and results are accepted as proof of English language proficiency:

  • TOEFL 87 ibt 
  • TOEIC Listening/Reading 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150 
  • IELTS (academic) 6.5
  • CAE (grade A, B, or C) 
  • CPE (grade A, B or C)
  • Pearson English Test Academic (PTE-A): 59 Points
  • B2 First: 173

Fees and Funding
Your tuition fees

Tuition fees

  • for citizens of the EU/EEA (incl. Western Balkans, Switzerland): 800 euros per month
  • for non-EU/EEA citizens: 6,450 euros per semester

Please note: The monthly tuition fee remains the same throughout the entire period of study.

UPDATE | New conditions for applicants with Indian citizenship who are submitting their applications on or after 1 June 2021 (CEST): payment of tuition fees one year in advance (no deposit payment).
 
There is a one-off registration fee of 500 euros (EU/EEA) / 900 euros (non-EU/EEA) at the beginning of your course, payable with the first monthly fee.

If you want to finance your studies, you have numerous options such as BAföG, the education fund of the Berlin SRH universities, education loans or the Deutschlandstipendium. You will find all the essential information on student loans and scholarships on the webpage “How to finance your studies”.

Apply now to get your admission. You can start your studies at SRH Campus Hamburg in the summer or winter semester. Just go online and submit your application directly from our website. We will check your documents. If you meet the admission requirements, we will invite you to an interview to get to know you better. Participation in the selection process is free of charge.
