First Career Day at SRH Campus Hamburg was a great success

First career day was successful for our students and the participating companies.

Deutsche Bahn, Vilisto, PWC, Alten, HIW Hamburg Invest, Mazars Advisors and 11+media met our master students on Campus. SRH Master students were able to talk directly to the participating companies to gain valuable insights on attractive employers as well as hints on job applications.

The participating companies took the opportunity to recruit for vacancies and to learn from the applicant perspective. They received the CV´s of our young talents and both sides were able to take positive networking effects from the exhibition.

SRH Campus Hamburg accompanied the exhibition by a panel discussion with the topic “Lack of skilled labor and future skills”. Not only the participating companies agreed on the lack of skilled talents. In addition, until 2023 Germany will see a shift in the occupational structure with the growing importance of the scientification of work by +743.000. At the same time there will be a lack of skilled talents in Germany of 5 million until 2030. During the panel discussion there wasa fruitful discussion upon this highly relevant topic by gathering insights from leaders and experts from the perspectives of startups, multinational enterprises, small- and medium sized companies, job applicant and higher education. We understood from different perspectives what companies are already doing to fill their workforce gaps with young talents and what is asked from young talents to apply. For example, offering flexibility and ensuring matching values between the companies and applicants are important factors to attract future employees.

Thanks to all particpants! We are very much looking forward to welcoming all participants to the next Career Day in 2023!
